About The Benefit Film Festival
The Benefit Film Festival (BFF) is unlike any other film festival. We believe in supporting independent filmmakers, particularly women and people of color. That's why we don't charge filmmakers a submission fee, which can be a huge barrier to entry in the already competitive and financially demanding process of filmmaking. We want to provide filmmakers with the opportunity to not only showcase their work to friends and family but to network with other filmmakers, distributors, agents, managers and film industry members - for free.

Beyond providing access to this showcase platform, BFF also offers participating filmmakers portions of the profits from the festival so that they can continue to invest in their craft and share their gift with the world. This year, BFF is showcasing filmmakers and actors who are students of the Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop (AMAW) Atlanta studio. BFF will also use a portion of the profit to benefit the AMAW Atlanta studio so it can continue to provide scholarships to and high-quality training for actors and filmmakers.

When you support BFF, you help to level the playing field in the film/TV industry and contribute to the success of industry rising stars. We thank you in advance for all your support!

About AMAW Atlanta
At Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop (AMAW) studios, we strive to promote the most authentic acting. We don’t want anyone hiding behind character. Your essence is what makes a character come to life. We work with our scripts in hand to promote active listening. If you’re trying to remember what your next line is how can you be listening to your partner? More often than not, if you’re present, you’ll find you already know what the next line is on the script. Following your first instinct, despite what that may be, can lead to unexpected discoveries. There are over 20 billion people on this planet, and each and everyone is unique! There is only one you!
Meet the Hosts
The Benefit Film Festival is thrilled to announce our hosts for the post-screening Q&A Sessions! Their charm, humor and industry insight will be sure to entertain, educate and inspire audience members.
Neal Reddy
Block 1: Short Films host
Neal was born. Neal also hates talking in the 3rd person. Hey friends, it's me Neal. I am a writer and actor. The short film I wrote, 'Barely Breathing,' is now award winning. Pretty Neat. I was able to secure the lead role in 'Barely Breathing' because I knew the guy that wrote it.
Karen Ceesay
BLOCK 2: Feature FILM HOST
Karen is an actor and producer. You can see her in several hit projects, most notably as Mrs. Sinclair, Lucas & Erica's mother, on Netflix's "Stranger Things". Karen serves on the boards of Atlanta's local chapter of SAG/AFTRA and Film Impact Georgia, but her heart belongs to Women in Film & Television Atlanta (WIFTA).
